TEAM MEETING UPDATES
Fall 2020
The HReimagined Team is continuing to review and analyze potential improvements to the HR processes. Leaders are presenting the Team’s summary report and sharing plans for UA’s HReimagined model with various units and individuals across campus through a series of meetings and messages as requested.
Summer 2020
The Team compiled a summary report addressing roles, structures and functions of a reimagined HR program, including a proposed model outlining the vision for UA’s future HR services. The report continues to reflect work in progress and will be updated periodically.

The Team received a presentation from a working group that was tasked with reviewing data and providing a preliminary estimate of the number of Human Resource Business Partners (HRBPs) that would be needed in the new HR model, broken down by academic or administrative unit. The Team also brainstormed the remaining items that would need to be addressed before completion of the initiative.
Feb. 27, 2020
The Team received an extensive and in-depth presentation from directors and other representatives from UA Central Human Resources about the strategic and consultative role Central HR could play in a new HR model. Town Hall Forums are planned for March 12th from 9:00-10:30 and 3:30-5:00 in the UA School of Law, Room 187. Additional communications about the town hall forums will be provided on the HReimagined website and Inside UA.
Feb. 13, 2020
Team representatives completed a round of meetings with groups on campus, including the Council of Deans and HR personnel. The team discussed various roles and responsibilities for the provision of HR services in the colleges, schools and units as part of a new HR model. Preparations are in the works for a campus-wide town hall meeting planned for mid-March as an opportunity for the Team to share the emerging new HR model and solicit feedback from the UA campus community.

The meeting involved continued conversations around the employee lifecycle, particularly related to workforce planning and transitions. The team addressed recent and planned meetings with key faculty and staff organizations. Timelines were established for the next round of campus-wide communications.
Jan. 9, 2020
The team continued to discuss the various phases of the employee lifecycle and how to reimagine responsibilities associated with each phase. Discussions for this meeting centered around culture, morale, employee relations and performance management. The team is making progress toward reviewing faculty and staff HR-related needs for the goals of translating them into Human Resources best practices and enhancing the UA HR team to pursue the new strategy with the support of the campus community.

The HReimagined team met to continue exploring possibilities for the future model of HR at UA. Members reviewed various elements of HR functions and discussed how they might be most effectively organized. Preliminary conversations began about a campus-wide Town Hall meeting for early in the spring semester. Stay tuned for details.
